When we are first born, we worried because we got hungry. Then we cry and someone feeds us. Eight years later, we worry about not getting that doll we wanted for Christmas.
Santa came & we got our doll. Ten years later we worry that, that guy we like will not ask us out for a date. He did and we got married. Ten years later we worried that our baby girl would get hurt while learning to ride her bike. She learned, fell, but was fine. Ten years later we worry if we can afford to get our daughter in college or even if she will finish high school. She does. Ten years later, our children are grown & on their own. We find gray hairs & wrinkles and worry if our husband still loves us because we are starting to age. Then out of no where, a doctor tells us we have breast cancer. At this point our worries take on a whole new meaning. Will we live or die? Will we ever get our hair back? Will we ever get thru chemo? Life becomes one big worry after another.
Wait a minute…..
We got feed as a baby.
We got our doll.
We got the man we loved.
Our baby learned how to ride a bike.
She got thru school.
She left home & has her own life.
Our husband still loves us , with wrinkles.
Up to this point, our worries where wasted time. Take control of your life. Think positive. Try, for one time in your life to not worry. Put all this worry in HIS hands.
Hi there,
Your post is so true. I just recently accepted that word….”WORRY “FEAR”
A pastor said—-when you put fear and worry first you are putting “FAITH” second….
You must not worry …and keep your faith that GOD will heal and wants all good things for his children.
I was recently diagnosed with a head and Neck Cancer. I am (or was) a healthy 42 mother of 2 with a fantastic life and NO medical issues..UNTIL THIS..out of nowhere, no signs to fit the bill. Anyway. after alot of soul searching Ihave to believe that my continous worrying set me up for this. Now I have all faith in GOD that I will be well and he has healed me.
Afte this journey, I refuse to worry or fear anything anymore.
I enjoyed your post.

“Don’t worry, be Happy”. That should be the mantra for all of us. I place worry in a box and place it on a shelf. Sometimes that worry oozes out and tries to take over. I just need to learn to stuff it back in that box.
Thanks for reminding me that.
Hugs
Teresa
